Simply Multiply is a one day training seminar designed to serve local churches by encouraging and equipping disciples of Jesus who want to make disciples of Jesus in a simple, practical, Biblical and Jesus centred way. It is a great opportunity for followers of Jesus to gather in churches and homes and encourage one another in this great disciple- marking journey Jesus has invited us into.
Imagine if every follower of Jesus you knew was intentional about following Jesus, being changed by Jesus and committed to the mission of Jesus. Think of how we would see peoples lives renewed, restored, churches multiplying into new churches, communities changed and as a result the Kingdom of God advance. This is the work and mission of God and He wants us to join in.
Disciple-making should not be complicated. It is simply a life-long process of introducing people to Jesus and helping them follow and be like Him. Disciple-making is also a life-long process of becoming more like Jesus and helping others do the same. Seeking to become like him is not a set program, this is an ever deepening process. It is an ongoing process of “abiding in the vine” and allowing Jesus to bear fruit through us.
Our passion and vision for Simply Multiply is simply to see people who are following and doing what Jesus did simply multiply everywhere. We want to help and encourage every follower to be a fisher (Matthew 4:19).
“We live in a day where it means almost nothing to be a Christian. So how we answer the question, “What does it mean to be a disciple?” will affect in every way how we answer the question, “What does it mean to make disciples?” David Platt
Some of the topics that we explore in Simply Multiply are:
- Rethinking Disciple-Making
- Rediscovering the Good News
- Rethinking Mission (A Missional lifestyle)
- Missional Small Groups
Within these topics we will be exploring Jesus at the center, the message and model of how Jesus the master disciple maker created a movement of multiplying disciples. The role of the Holy Spirit, Prayer, the Bible, Grace, using your gifts in disciple making, finding a person of peace, living as part of a missional community, being intentional and accountability in disciple making will also be an important part of the seminar.
